Forty Under 40

FORTYunderFORTY is a competition that is open to architects and designers who have been involved in a building project with a value less that £40k, not necessarily a whole scheme but an identifiable element that can be represented in a single A2 photograph that illustrates a critical interest in perhaps sustainability, value, construction detailing or materials. In fact, whatever you consider most important about the scheme.

The 40 most extraordinary images will be chosen from a panel of judges that include the Senior Editor of the Architectural Review, the Director of the Royal Photographic Society, the RIBA and RSAW and will be exhibited on a touring exhibition that could include venues such as the Bristol Central Library, the Architecture Centre, Buildstore in Swindon, the Pierhead Building in Cardiff Bay, the Centre for Applied Arts in Wales, the University of Bath and UWE and will be included as a exhibit in Cardiff Design Week.

A single pdf image should be submitted at a size up to 5Mb and on a separate single sided A4 sheet, a description of the project and those involved in the format identified in the entry form that can be downloaded here.
