The Apprentice Store is a wonderful restoration project with a very contemporary

feel. Despite the complexity of the four, quite dilapidated, existing

buildings, the concept creates a very clear diagram of linking them

via a modern steel gantry and stairs. The project shows great respect for

the existing structure and additions are sensitively rendered with new

materials.
