Description:
This seminar will take a practical approach to the new regulations, paying particular
attention to the following areas:
• New Part G – Hygiene (particularly water use) and its cross over with Part L
• New Part L – Conservation of fuel and power. The speaker will summarise the
main changes and brief attendees on the methods of practical compliance
• BS9999 – a short brief on the new fire code which replaced the BS5588 series,
and the design freedoms it can cover.

session with as many questions as you can think of for the speaker.
Speaker: Andrew Crooks MA MRICS MIFireE, jha innovation ltd
Andrew joined jha innovation ltd in 2007 and is responsible for all building control
work throughout the Bristol, Hereford, South Wales and Swindon areas. Andrew
joined jha after 18 years working in local authority building control. Andrew is a
Chartered Surveyor and Fire Engineer and holds a Masters degree in Management
Studies. He is an APC Assessor for the Building Control faculty of RICS. He has
particular experience within the historic environment having worked in the City of
Bath for seven years. His most recent projects have been the largest PFI MOD
project in the country and Bristol Airport's Terminal Building and Control Tower.
