Description:
Revision 2 to the JCT suite of forms was published in 2009, and contains some significant changes. This seminar will outline the range of JCT forms currently available, and examine recent developments including Revision 2 and relevant case law, such as:
• The 2005 suite of forms - selection and use
• The latest from Constructing Excellence
• Revision 2 changes:
- Sustainability
- Framework agreement, communication, retention bond
- Supplemental provisions: acceleration, collaborative working, environmental considerations, health and safety, performance indicators, dispute resolution and mediation
• Recent case law relating to contract administration.
Speaker: Sarah Lupton MA DipArch LLM RIBA FCIArb, Cardiff University
Sarah Lupton is a Reader in Professional Studies at Cardiff University and a Partner at Lupton Stellakis. She lectures widely on subjects relating to Construction Law, and acts as Adjudicator and Expert Witness in construction disputes. She is also a member of a large number of industry and professional committees, and is an elected member of the Architects Registration Board. Sarah is the author of many books, including a series on standard form building contracts, as well as editor of 'Which Contract? ' and 'The Architect's Handbook of Practice Management ' .
