This seminar will cover the history of current legislative frameworks and their use in practice:

  • William Morris and his early influence
  • Scheduled Ancient Monuments, Listed Buildings and their grading

Current and proposed primary legislation.

The speaker with also discuss:

  • Current secondary legislation and practice guides
  • EH's Conservation Principles, Policies and Guidance
  • Archive selection and research
  • Assembling the knowledge gained and translating it into design, writing persuasive design and historic impact statements in the interests of fine architecture.
