Early planning of spatial requirements in order to integrate building services into developments is essential to achieve a successful project. The seminar will aim to provide information to allow architects and planners to better understand the principles of services integration into buildings, highlighting various types of installation in private dwellings, as well as commercial, healthcare and industrial schemes.

Careful consideration must be given to each type of installation due to its complexity and to the long-term needs for safe access for maintenance and replacement. The seminar will consider options for alternative mechanical systems and their implications on plant space requirements. Locations and arrangements of systems will be discussed and how smaller templates and more efficient use of space can be achieved.
