The brief was to deliver an exemplary dwelling that embraced sustainable principles whilst providing a contemporary family home.

Based on an open plan arrangement which allows seamless flow, the home is inspired by the traditional inglenook house with a modern, central built-in wood burner. The house achieved Code Level 4 and includes a deep bore ground source heat pump.

The first floor accommodates five double en-suite bedrooms and an external deck within the building's footprint – a secluded external space.
