RIBA South Travelling Exhibition
Each year RIBA South administers the regional RIBA Awards, RIBA South Conservation Awards and the RIBA South Student awards from both schools of architecture, Oxford Brookes University and The University of Portsmouth.
As one might imagine we are lucky enough to experience architecture at its very best and we are enthusiastic about sharing these beautiful, sustainable spaces that provide us all with an environment that nurtures pride and a sense of wellbeing.
There is an annual scurry each year to promote these awards on national/ regional television/radio and to reach out to as many other means of communications we feel will spread the passion for good architecture.
As part of our efforts to share these inspirational and exciting projects we are launching an exhibition of the 2008 awards. The exhibition will travel around the region and will be shown in Schools of Architecture and your local authorities.
The Exhibition is presently at West Oxfordshire Council Offices in Witney and will shortly be displayed at the West Berkshire Council Offices in Newbury. Look out for more information on forthcoming venues for the Travelling Exhibition in your regional E-Bulletin and Newsletter.
To add to this new and exciting exhibit we are also inviting local architects to exhibit their work alongside the Travelling Exhibition. As the Exhibition travels to your branch, you will have the opportunity to display your work and demonstrate to your Local Authority and general public the high level of design used in local projects.
