This new academy, whose specialisms are Entrepreneurship and Sport, lies on the edge of the South Downs and has been designed as part of the landscape of the South Downs. The palette of materials is drawn from this landscape: flint, chalk and Anthracite bricks. The first floor has a system of full-height flush glazing creating a seamless smooth surface that contrasts with the textured ground floor.

To reflect light into teaching spaces a chalky white brick is used for the external wall. The galleried atria and open plan assembly hall create a flowing series of spaces linking all the teaching and administration functions enlivened by the bustle and energy of the large student population.
