This is a new primary school for 420 pupils delivered in the great tradition of Hampshire Schools, in which the children’s needs are primary to the design. The brief called for flexible accommodation that can adapt to changing learning styles in the future. 

The design involves simple dual-pitched roofed buildings around a central courtyard with the main school hall on the street front, all linked by flat roofed, glazed cloisters. The building forms allow each class a two metre deep covered external space for outdoor learning.
