This Hampshire school, on the edge of the New Forest National Park, is for children with a wide range of complex learning difficulties. In addition to the nine classrooms the facilities include a nursery, hydrotherapy pool, multi-sensory room, a soft play area, and therapy rooms.
But such a school cannot just be about facilities. It must engender a sense of well-being, even pride among pupils and staff. The architects have created an extraordinary place in which pupils feel special only in the best sense of the word.
