Description:

Robert Sakula worked for Sir Clough Williams-Ellis at Portmeirion; and with David Lea, the pioneer in sustainable architecture. He then joined DEGW Architects, working on projects in Mexico, Monte Carlo and the UK before co-founding Ash Sakula in 1994, with Cany Ash. Robert has taught architectural design at universities in the UK, Europe and in China. He is a RIBA Competitions Advisor and a Civic Trust Awards Assessor. He is a member of the London Borough of Newham Design Review Panel.The practice’s recent awards include RIBA Award 2011, Carnival Arts Centre, Luton; and RIBA Award 2010, Chapter Arts, Cardiff.
