Sarah Featherstone's Winchester Lecture coincides with the Winchester Festival. Sarah is an architect and director of Featherstone Young, which she founded with Jeremy Young in 2009. She has designed projects in the housing, community, cultural, education and commercial sectors. Their house, Ty Hedfan won an RIBA Award in 2011 and was shortlisted for the Manser Medal and the Stephen Lawrence Prize. The practice have been Finalists in BD Young Architect of the Year and Architecture Foundation’s Next Generation Award. Sarah was previously the director of Featherstone Associates and prior to this was a founding partner of Hudson Featherstone Architects. She teaches at Central St Martins and has been a visiting critic at various UK architecture schools. Sarah is a CABE Design Panel Member and Southwark Design Panel Member and an External Examiner at Brighton University and the Bartlett.
