22 October 2008
2:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Venue:
Oxford
Description:
The renewable energy systems subject is very wide and technically complex.
Some concepts such as refrigerant thermodynamics, adiabatic heat transfer and solar photovoltaic technology could justify a seminar of their own.
The seminar will aim to:
-
confirm the importance of incorporating renewables into modern building designs
-
provide an overview and explanation of the characteristics of each renewable energy technology now available
-
consider their suitability
-
consider their capabilities
-
consider their limitations
-
and aim to 're-align' a few myths that some may hold.
The seminar will be split into two distinct halves:
-
Those LZC / Renewable energy systems relating to Heat generation.
-
Those LZC / Renewable energy systems related to Electricity generation.
Speaker: Tony Almond BSc IEng, Planet Energy Solutions
