Description:
The aim of this seminar is to future proof architects' knowledge regarding upcoming energy performance design requirements. By taking a holistic approach, it will demonstrate that current dwelling designs may be improved to achieve Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3 for energy efficiency.
The sessions will cover the following topics:

Improving fabric U-values, and ensuring insulation continuity

Reducing thermal bridging heat losses through better detailing
-
Improving airtightness to reduce air leakage heat losses
-
Provision of Mechanical Ventilation systems with Heat Recovery, SAP Appendix Q, and other improvements to services.
The presentations will be followed by a session looking at innovative new products followed by open discussion.
Each delegate will receive a pack including copies of the presentations, the recently published Energy Saving Trust Code guidance plus worked examples of constructions/U-values and SAP assessments.
