4:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Venue:
Dandridge's Mill, East Hanney, near Wantage
Description:
The Mill was built in 1820 and was formerly a water-driven silk mill. In 1839 it became a grain mill and it was used to manufacture parts for the Mosquito aircraft during World War II. Later it was used as a derelict sculpture studio until its current conversion.
The present owner, whose main business is in Antiques, bought the Mill in 2007 with a view to creating a desirable apartment development that is highly sustainable and a unique refurbishment of the mill.
The tour will be conducted by Opinder Liddar of lapd architecture + urbanregeneration and Henry Reilly-Collins of Hallidays Developments.
