Fire Safety BS9999 - 1 November - HG Wells Conference Centre, Woking

01 November 2012

2:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Venue:

HG Wells Conference Centre, Woking

Description:

BS9999 is a new British Standard replacing the old established BS5588 series of Fire Design codes, which became obsolete in April 2009. The new BS9999 allows a more flexible approach to fire design, taking into consideration both the reaction of people and the fire growth characteristics of the building. This then translates to more sensible travel distances and exit widths.

BS9999 provides a framework of design in between that of the Approved Document B and a fully Fire Engineered solution.

To use the standard and have a knowledge of how people react in a fire and how a fire develops is a must, and this presentation takes you through the daunting process in easy-to-understand language.

Numerous examples and 'live' case studies will enhance this session.
