The RIBA South East Sustainability Group is an informal network set up to help the Region's architects to keep abreast of the deluge of eco-information.

Spearheaded by Ian McKay of BBM Sustainable Design|, the Group tries to help architects to navigate the sea of 'greenwash' and to network and share best practice. Read Ian's views on how architects can - and must - take practical steps to combat global warming.

In January 2010 Ian undertook research into the extent to which M&E consultants meet the needs for practices undertaking small projects. His findings suggest that there is a niche market for consultants and technically-adept architects
