Study architecture

Students in the South East

There are three Schools of Architecture in the area covered by RIBA South East:

University of Brighton Faculty of Arts and Architecture|

University for the Creative Arts School of Architecture, Canterbury|

University of Kent School of Architecture, Canterbury|

Free CPD places for students

RIBA South East is keen that students who are RIBA Members should be able to attend CPD events. It is possible to attend RIBA South East's main CPD seminars, free!

You can of course buy a ticket at the usual price, to be sure of your place. But those who join the student waiting list for a specific event will be notified the day before the event and may be able to attend free of charge, if there is space. Choose your seminar and contact us.

Student mentoring

RIBA South East runs a student mentoring scheme which currently covers all three Schools of Architecture in the Region. In 2009/10, 80 students were matched with 40-plus practices. T

Students are matched with local practices and commit to make visits and compile a diary as a part of their course. Practices volunteer to take part in the scheme: they commit to one introductory meeting, plus at least two visits to their offices/site visits and possible ad hoc support.

The individual Schools of Architecture arrange participation in the student mentoring scheme. Practices wishing to find out more about participation in the scheme should contact  riba.southeast@inst.riba.org|.
