Downland Prize

Entries to the Downland Prize for Architects  |demonstrate the quality and value that an architect can add to a small project. The exhibition of winning and shortlisted projects is travelling and highly portable: it showcases the work of architects all over the south east and is available for display in spaces of all sizes.

Influential buildings across the UK - De La Warr Pavilion, Autumn 2009

RIBA South East is collaborating with the De La Warr Pavilion at Bexhill-on-Sea on an exciting new architecture exhibition. Curated by architectural historian Alan Powers, the exhibition will look at some of the influential buildings across the UK, designed over the past 175 years. The exhibition will consider their impact on the development of architectural ideas. Building examples, selected at approximately 25-year intervals, will provide insights into the ideas of their time. The exhibition will run at the De La Warr Pavilion from 17 October 2009 until 3 January 2010.
