Town and Country Design Awards

Town and Country Design Awards 2008

The Town and Country Design Awards scheme looks at the impact of new and converted buildings in both rural and urban settings and aims to highlight the contributions made by talented architects who are working within the Wessex and South West regions or the Channel Islands.

The jury judges each building in its setting, considering fitness for purpose, consistency of design, use of materials and whether a building is likely to remain a fine work of architecture throughout and even beyond its full working life. Particular note is taken of the way in which schemes relate to their surroundings.

The awards apply to buildings completed in the RIBA Wessex and South West regions or the Channel Islands only: i.e. the unitary authorities of Bristol and Bath, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Dorset, Somerset, Devon, Cornwall and the Channel Islands.

We would like to say a big thank you to all of our sponsors - all of whom are dedicated to supporting high quality architecture in Wessex and the South West.

The closing date for the 2008 Awards is 12pm on 3 July and entry forms can be downloaded from here.
