In transforming an anonymous telephone exchange building into an exciting public gallery the architects have created an appreciated improvement to the urban environment of central Penzance.  In opening up the existing brutal facade the Exchange has brought life to surrounding streets and the ribbon of glass which makes up the new front brings with it identity and landmark character to the gallery.
