A democratically run arts studio for the less than privileged area of Hartcliffe in Bristol, Room 13 offers not only a sustainable solution in its own right but impressed the judges with its architectural message to younger generations.  The project encompasses every aspect of sustainability, from the ground-source heat pump to the parliamentary-style quadrant at the front door it demonstrates that getting it right for the future means getting it right for communities and the environment.
