Employing modern materials in a honest and open way the architect has achieved an appropriate 21st century role for this building which has existed since 1332.  Largely derelict, the corrugated roof and insignificant carpentry has been replaced with a new oak structure and thatched roof, whilst a new upper floor has been inserted.
