Exeter Court Hotel, Exeter
Description:
Considering not only the aesthetic choice for a colour, but also how colours reflect under different lighting conditions, colour characteristics, colour harmony, style groups and translating a feeling or mood into colour or a series of colours is complex.
To this end, Sikkens and its parent company Akzo Nobel Decorative Coatings, have recently launched in the UK colour workshops, aimed at professionals, to ensure designers and architects are getting the most out of the Sikkens vast range of decorative coatings. To support the colour workshops, Akzo Nobel Aesthetic Centre in Holland has also developed course binders which contain a mixture of theory and practice, the modules are Colour Basics, Colour and Exterior, Colour in Interior and Colour Advice.
The Colour Forum will be focusing on the Interior module which is more about taste, preference of colour, identity, colour appreciation, trends, effect location, space, light, material and function of colours in rooms and spaces.
