This seminar will cover the current 2005 Edition JCT Contracts, from Minor Works and the Intermediate Form (with and without Contractors Design) to the Standard Building Contract (with and without Quantities) and the Design & Build form.
Other JCT contracts will also get a mention subject to demand, such as the “JCT Home Owner with Consultant” or even the Major Projects Form. Finally a Q&A session will give delegates the chance to ask their own questions about any of the JCT contracts.
Speaker: Jeremy Lenton of Knowles. For more than thirty years Knowles has provided cost-effective solutions to dispute situations in a global construction market. Since 2006 part of Hill International (NYSE:HIL), the global leader in managing construction risk, Knowles’ staff are specialist professionals with a comprehensive knowledge of the construction industry and mostly dual qualified in construction related disciplines and some aspect of law. Jeremy is Knowles’ Regional Director for the SW peninsula. He has over 30 years of specialist building industry experience as a consultant in project management, in dispute management and resolution and as an expert witness. He has worked for public, private and corporate clients including developers, contractors, sub-contractors and consultants, acquiring a wide understanding of the industry’s problems. Having advised and assisted on over 800 matters, including adjudications, arbitrations, litigations and some 50 appointments as an expert witness, Jeremy believes firmly that prevention is better than cure – a message he delivers as a speaker at Knowles’ national and regional seminars.
