The RIBA West Midlands regional forum defines the goals of the RIBA in the region. It is the main vehicle for representing the interests of members to regional and national decision makers. In difficult economic times, it is more important than ever that the forum is well positioned to respond on behalf of regional members to political and economic challenges by acting with clarity, rigour and authority.
The regional forum is made up of Regional Chair Gavin Orton and elected members from across the region. The forum meets quarterly to discuss regional issues.
The forum has recently established three working groups: Communications, Policy & Education and Outreach.
These groups are tasked with effectively managing the goals set out in the Regional Charter and assisting the forum to achieve their vision:
'Our vision is to make the RIBA a conspicious and high-profile presence in the West Midlands region that is valued by our members and respected by our partners and colleagues.'
