  • the appreciation of light in architecture and urban spaces
  • lighting and well-being
  • integrating daylight and artificial lighting
  • integration of lighting into the design process
  • recent innovations in technical and design solutions
  • national and international case studies of good lighting design
  • a resume of available lighting technology
  • sustainability
  • where to go for help, guidance and advice

The event is presented by Hoare Lea Lighting which is an independent lighting design consultancy with offices in Leeds, Birmingham, London and Bristol. Central to their approach to lighting design is the consideration of human response, and that understanding how people see and respond to light is the key to designing a well-lit space. This, combined with a passionate belief that light is essential to the creation of a dynamic architectural environment, make up the cornerstones of their ethos. In order to deal with a varied portfolio of lighting design projects, Hoare Lea Lighting maintains a close liaison with the lighting industry and associated research bodies.
