This project was an opportunity to commission a design-led educational building, hopefully pointing the way for further schools in the client's development programme.

The use of the section on the sloping site was excellent. Spaces within the building were light and airy, the central courtyard was lively and well used and each classroom on the ground floor had a simple and easy relationship with dedicated outside activity space.

Thanks to thoughtful planning and execution, this building has been well received by the community to which it belongs.
