RIBA Yorkshire Student Awards winners 2007

For the first time in 2007, students from both Part 1 and Part 2 courses entered the Student Awards. The entered schemes were exhibited during Architecture Week at The Round Foundry Media Centre in Holbeck, Leeds. 

The winners were announced at the RIBA Yorkshire AGM and they were presented with their prizes at the RIBA Yorkshire Awards Dinner in November at Leeds Town Hall.  Certificates were handed out by Nigel Pilkington of Waring and Netts who sponsored the Student Awards.

The 2007 winners were:

Part one - Medal

Will Delaney – Kissing Sleeping Beauty: Sandside Performing Arts Centre, Scarborough, Sheffield Hallam University

Robert Sharples – A Romantic Intervention: Sandside Performing Arts Centre, Scarborough, Sheffield Hallam University

David Kent – Textile Museum in Hoi An, Vietnam, University of Huddersfield

Part one - Commendation

Jonathan Shaw – A Mammal Enclosure at London Zoo, University of Sheffield

Daniel Tassell – Divers Facility on the East Coast of the UK, University of Sheffield

Part Two - Medal

Chris Seviour – Ideas Store, Rotterdam (The Art of Climate Change), University of Huddersfield

Part Two - Commendation

Kim Winston – The Intelligent Path, University of Sheffield

Best Presentation Prize

Jonathan Shaw – A Mammal Enclosure at London Zoo, University of Sheffield
