RIBA Yorkshire and Johnston & Mather have teamed up to offer RIBA members this intensive, hands-on, modular, part distance-learning course. It focuses on effective techniques and procedures for meeting the client's needs, avoiding problems and finding solutions. The course is for architects and construction industry professionals who wish to consolidate their existing qualifications and experience with specific project management training.
The intended outcome is a professional level of competence, personal confidence, and a demonstrable level of qualification in construction project management.
Two 'classroom' based modules to be held on 13 and 14 September and 18 and 19 October 2013 in Leeds. A project tackled in teams from individuals' own workplaces and completion of aProject Management Handbook and Workbook. An assessed personal project of 3000 words, based upon a Case Study Assignment. The overall length of study is 2 to 3 months.
Award and Continuing Professional Development
On satisfactory completion of the course, you will be awarded a Certificate of Achievement (the RIBA Certificate in Construction Project Management). This is also a CPD certificate and the course covers a number of the RIBA core curriculum subjects. The course qualifies for 50
Special RIBA promotional fee of £960 + VAT per person before 26th July.
