Winners of the 2008 RIBA Yorkshire White Rose Awards for Architecture announced

Two Sheffield buildings received the highest accolades at the 2008 Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Yorkshire White Rose Awards which were announced tonight [24 October] at a ceremony hosted by Barnsley poet Ian McMillan at Leeds Town Hall.

The short list for the Sheffield Design Awards has been announced this week and there

are now just six distinctive projects in the city in line to win either the Best Building

Award or the Neighbourhood & Community Design Award.
