Description:
At RIBA Yorkshire, we are very excited that a local building has been shortlisted for the 2012 RIBA Stirling Prize. In celebration, we would like to invite you to join us at The Hepworth, Wakefield, for our annual meeting where we will update you on activities within the region, and RIBA President Elect Stephen Hodder will present his manifesto for his presidency and welcome questions from the audience.
Our guest lecture is by Oliver Ulmer, director at David Chipperfield Architects, who will discuss the design journey behind the RIBA Stirling Prize 2012-shortlisted building. Simon Wallis, director of The Hepworth, will offer an insight into clients' perspective of procuring such a building.
The galleries will be open until 9pm so you will have plenty of opportunity to view the building for yourself.
