HS2 Debate - The Fast Train South is a Strain not a Gain

This house believes that HS2 will redirect resources away from the regions to the Capital.

The Royal Town Planning Institute, the Royal Institute of British Architects, the Landscape Institute, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Institution of Civil Engineers are hosting this debate for and against the controversial proposed HS2 extension from Birmingham to Leeds and Manchester.

The Debate will be chaired by Martin Wainwright, until recently Northern Editor of The Guardian, and it includes the Presidents of the organising professional bodies.
