Venue:
192 Shoreham Street, Sheffield S1 4SQ
Description:
Sheffield Society of Architects will host the first Architecture Forum of 2013 at 192 Shoreham Street in Sheffield. The building was winner of the Best Building Award at the 2012 Sheffield Design Awards for architects Project Orange.
192 Shoreham Street is a formerly derelict Victorian industrial brick building that has been rehabilitated to celebrate its industrial heritage whilst making it relevant to its newly vibrant context. The Sheffield Design Awards judges described it as 'an exquisite example of what can be achieved by thoughtful design and an enlightened commercial brief. The project is both radical in its form and respectful to its context. It is a bold and characterful building, spatially inventive and crisply detailed'.
Join us to hear about the project from client Cristian Sinclair, from Neaversons and take a tour of the building
