What the festival is all about....

Our aim is to communicate to the widest possible audience the power and pleasures of well-considered buildings and places.

Over six weeks from 23 March to 4 May 2013, we hope to get people talking about the qualities of the buldings and places where we all live, work, learn or relax. With an architectural film series, architectural ceramics workshop, an evening of architecture and poetry and an exhibition about weird and wonderful mini beach huts, we hope there will be something for everyone.

The story so far....

The Mid Wales Branch of the Royal Society of Architects joined forced with Aberystwyth Arts Centre in 2012 in a partnership to celebrate the architectural creativity, ideas and energy of the mid-Wales area. The inaugural Festival of Architecture in 2013 is a grant recipient of the Arts Council of Wales and is supported by the Design Commission for Wales, Royal Institute of British Architects, Powys County Council and Ceredigion County Council.
