John Miller will guide you through the recent significant changes and provide an insight into areas currently under review. The session will cover: Fire safety including Regulatory Reform Order, Fire Risk Assessments, building type guidance documents and means of escape for disabled people.
Disability Discrimination Acts 1995 and 2005 including latest duties, some case studies and the development of best practice Building Regulations covering Building Control, Sustainability.
John's informative and entertaining approach to regulatory developments will separate the facts from the flannel.
Speaker: John Miller, FRICS, FBEng formerly of John Miller Partnership Ltd. John Miller has 43 years experience in Building Control Surveying in both the public and private sectors. Throughout his career, he has been actively involved in the development of legislation in respect of access and facilities for disabled people.
