The Royal Society of Architects in Wales/ Cymdeithas Frenhinol Penseiri yng Nghymru (RSAW) is constituted as the regional organisation of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) in Wales.
Our mission is to promote architecture and the work of architects to potential clients, policy makers and the general public. The RSAW is governed by a council drawn from the whole membership working within a wider framework set by the RIBA.

Architectural trip to Snowdonia led by project architect Ray Hole from Ray Hole Architects - Thu 30 July 2009
The Hafod Eyri visitor centre on the top of Snowdon has finally opened to much with much excitement and acclaim. Organised by the RSAW, this trip to the summit will be led by the project architect, Ray Hole, who will talk about the architectural challenges and how these were overcome. Ray is a truly enjoyable and inspirational speaker who will reveal how the "highest slum in Wales" has became the new Hafod Eyri visitor centre.
CPD points available for attending. Cost: £20 per person (guest and families welcome).

RIBA Special General Meeting, 15 July 2009
A Special General Meeting of the Chartered Members of the RIBA has been convened to consider revisions to the Byelaws. This meeting will take place at the RIBA, 66 Portland Place, London W1B 1AD on 15 July 2009 at 2.00pm.

RIBA Awards 2009
Ruthin Craft Centre, Ruthin, Denbighshire LL15 1BB by Sergison Bates Architects and Penderyn Distillery, Penderyn CF44 0SX by David Archer Architects have both won RIBA Awards 2009. The winners were announced on 21 May 2009 by Jane Davidson AM, Minister for Environment, Sustainability and Housing and Pierre Wassenaar, Vice-President of the RSAW.
These two schemes are amongst 103 winners |across the UK and Europe winning awards for architectural excellence.

Conference 2008: Green Wales - creating a sustainable European nation
Jane Davidson AM for Environment, Sustainability and Housing gave the keynote address at the RSAW conference on 20 November 2008, outlining how the Welsh Assembly Government are moving towards a leaner, cleaner and greener Wales.

Local activities in Wales are co-ordinated by four branches|, while all-Wales activities are administered by a small team of full-time staff based in Cardiff.
The activities of the RSAW include:
