Owen joined Stock Woolstencroft in 1995 and became a Partner in 1998.
His specialisms are concept design, feasibility, development planning and scheme design.
His work with the practice includes the development of new town centre plans and frameworks for Enfield, Brixton, Hackney, Wood Green, Welwyn, Bournemouth, Southend, Doncaster and St Albans, and he has managed several masterplanning and urban framework projects including Fresh Wharf in Barking, Dagenham Regeneration, the South Kilburn Masterplan, Haringey Heartlands Masterplan, Wood Green Cultural Quarter and the Poplar HARCA Masterplan. He also has extensive experience working in the Middle East, the Far East, and more recently on initiative projects in India.
Owen shares the practice's commitment to raising standards in urban design through research and lecturing and has been a design tutor and visiting critic to the architecture department of London South Bank University (LSBU). He has also contributed a range of articles and papers on planning and urban regeneration and has organised seminars such as Emerging Trends in Urban Regeneration, hosted with the planning school at LSBU.
Owen is a member of the RIBA Council and is the RIBA's Honorary Treasurer.
