Skip spent his formative years in and around Kent, occasionally tagging along with his plasterer father to building sites. His interest in buildings, how they are put together and the desire to create them, dates from that period.
Skip has been a Partner of Bowen Dann Knox Architects since 1990. BDKA is a small practice with a strong base in North Wales which regularly works across the rest of the UK. The practice has always actively supported the local RIBA branch, with former and present partners taking time as treasurer and/or president.
Skip served as North Wales President from 1997 to 1999. He then served as President of RSAW from 2001 to 2003. He was a member of the RIBA Council during 2005-2011 and has served both as the RIBA's Honorary Treasurer and as chair of the RIBA's Audit Committee.
