After graduating from Edinburgh University, Trisha worked as an architect and urban designer, both in private practices and with Essex County Council in the Planning Department. At Essex County Council, she was involved in the design and master planning of a new country town and gave specialist advice on housing design to local authorities within the County.
In 1981, she joined Countryside Properties Plc. Countryside is one of Britain's leading developers, creating sustainable new communities and revitalising urban and rural areas. In the role of Group Chief Architect her responsibilities encompass the provision of architectural, engineering and landscape design services. She was appointed to the Main Board in 1984.
Since 2001 Trisha has been a member of the Board of Governors of Anglia Ruskin University. She is also a past Chairman of RIBA East and current Chairman of the Chelmsford Chapter of Architects. She was appointed to the RIBA Holdings Board in December 2006.
