RIBA Holdings co-ordinates the activities of the RIBA to achieve the RIBA's mission and to provide central support services. RIBA Holdings:

• provides advice to RIBA Council on major policy and resources issues, and oversees the implementation of its decisions
• provides central support services, principally policy and international relations, corporate communications, finance and resources
• co-ordinates business between Council, Holdings board and subsidiary boards.

Its departments are:

• Policy and International Relations
• Communications and Marketing
• Finance and Resources

The RIBA Holdings board is the main executive board of the RIBA and directs the affairs of the RIBA within the overall policy and plans approved by RIBA Council. The board is chaired by the RIBA President and comprises RIBA Council officers, members and representative directors of the subsidiary companies.
