Practice

Small Practice Group

The Small Practice Group represents the two thirds of RIBA members in practices of fewer than ten staff, and works with representatives of government and our fellow institutes to make the voice of the smaller practice heard.
 
Its objectives are to:
  • enable small practices to compete effectively in a changing procurement arena (influencing decision makers, information and services to members)
  • ensure effective two-way communication between practices and the RIBA (e.g. by obtaining feedback from practices)
  • tackle perceptions and educate clients (promote the advantages of using small practices)
  • encourage/promote liaison between practices (i.e. small/small and small/large)
  • liaise with the small business field (i.e. outside architecture)
  • develop business and general practice skills and specialisms for architects

Guerrilla Tactics 2009
'Guerrilla Tactics: shaping tomorrow's practice' includes a full day of CPD seminars, an evening 'speed dating' event and a full conference day. It takes place on Tuesday 17 and Wednesday 18 November. For more information go to Guerrilla Tactics 2009|.
