Having undergone a major refurbishment in 2003, the RIBA Council Chamber on the 4th floor now offers an opulent boardroom setting which, together with the technology available, offers the highest standards of comfort and presentation.
 
The chamber is entered via an anteroom and presents an imposing sight. The joinery in the room is a wealth of English and Australian walnut and Canadian maple, and includes banquette seating on all four sides. The modernisation has introduced air conditioning, an intergrated electronic projection screen, centrally-programmable mood lighting, external blinds and a PA system that allows high quality recording of proceedings.
 
The chamber can accommodate 20 people seated boardroom or classroom style. The perimeter seating can increase capacity by up to 20. A standing reception with up to 60 people can be held in the chamber, its anteroom and the landing. A large roof terrace is also accessible on the same floor, which is ideal for summer receptions.

Full day 09.00-17.00: £450
Half day 9.00-13.00 or 14.00-17.00: £350
Evening 18.00-22.00: £450 
 
Room hire rates are exempt from VAT. Any additional equipment or service will be charged at the standard VAT rate. Registered charities receive a 10% discount on room hire.
 
A booking overlapping two sessions, even of shorter duration, will incur additional charges and may be considered to be a full day booking. Unauthorised over-running will also incur additional charges.
