Main responsibilities:

• Co-ordinating policy activity across the Institute at all levels (proactive and reactive, general and sector-specific, external and internal) 
• Providing a resource for policy development, channelling inputs as appropriate from RIBA Client Forums and RIBA-CABE Building Futures work 
• Challenging the government to ensure that good design is valued economically, socially and environmentally  
• Reviewing the RIBA's strategic planning
