Research and Development committee

The Research and Development Committee reports to the Professional Services Board and its primary responsibility is to help inspire and steer the work of the department, drawing on the knowledge and experience of practitioners, academics and researchers.
 
Activities and functions

  • Advise on the formulation of policy with regards to research, its dissemination and implementation
  • Recommend priorities for the business plan and budget
  • Review the implementation of Council policies and the progress of work against agreed objectives
  • Promote collaborations between research doers and users
  • Recommend strategies to consolidate and increase funding for architecture and built environment research
  • Work to improve links between architecture and built environment education, research and practise
  • Appoint task groups and specialist advisers for relevant projects and subjects.
