Keith Snook
Director, Research and Technical
Keith has a degree in Building Technology from Brunel University. His background in research comes from 7 years spent at the Building Research Establishment, doing research on Project Information – CPI conventions, Achievements of Quality on site – NEDO report, and Quality Assurance for Construction Industries Directorate of DoE. Keith has also worked in practice, including 5 years as Technical Adviser and Quality Manager for multidisciplinary design practice YRM Partnership Limited, and 3 years running his own consultancy, mainly in Quality Management and technical issues.
Working at the RIBA since 1995, he has been Assistant Director of Practice Standards, Director of Practice, and has become the first Director of Research and Development.
Keith attends RIBA Council, Professional Services Board and Research Committee.
Anna Gagliano
Knowledge and Research Manager
Anna has a degree in architecture and town planning from Faculdade Armando Alvares Penteado (FAAP) in Sao Paulo/Brazil. In 2006, she completed an individual research project - Knowledge Sharing in Architectural Practices: How architects engage in external knowledge networks to support professional practice, as part of a MSc in Information Management in the Cultural Sector at City University, London.
She has been working for the RIBA for over 4 years, previously at the RIBA Practice Department as well as RIBA Information Centre. On her current role, as Knowledge and Research Manager, she assists Keith Snook in the strategic development of RIBA knowledge communities; development of links with universities, schools of architecture, research institutions, knowledge organisations and partners as well as architectural practices.
Clare Sinclair
Knowledge Management Projects Officer
Clare has an MA Librarianship (with distinction) from the University of Sheffield. Her dissertation focused on conceptualisations of Knowledge Management in government. Clare also has a BA (Hons) English and Related Literature (University of York), and is undertaking chartership with the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals.
She started working at the RIBA in 2008, and had previously worked in a number of information and library roles in universities, commercial organisations, and government (the former DfES and a Knowledge Management role at the DWP). She's assisting Anna Gagliano and Keith Snook in establishing the RIBA as the Knowledge Management resource for the architects' profession.
