During live transmission of the 2006 RIBA Stirling Prize Dinner, Channel 4 invited members of the public to vote for their favourite shortlisted building. The result of the vote was announced live on air by Kevin McCloud, and Evelina with 49% of the vote, was the clear winner and favourite of the public.
