Public buildings: RIBA client forums

The RIBA's client forums iniative plays a key role in exploring the relationship between the client and architect in public building. The forums are designed to strengthen the relationship between architects and their clients working in key industry sectors such as housing, health, education, sport and leisure. Each forum is composed of architects, government officials and senior managers responsible for commissioning buildings. Client representation includes NHS Estates, the Learning and Skills Council, DCSF and the London Development Agency.

The aim is to improve the performance of both clients and design professionals ensuring that value for money, meet the requirements and needs of the given client sector. They coordinate their own programmes including workshops, exhibitions and best practice guides.

The RIBA currently supports five client forums. Please click on the menu links for more information on each forum and its activities.
