POP! It’s a café! POP! It’s gone. Life moves faster than ever and pop-up architecture has never been more fashionable. Temporary buildings are adaptable and transportable and can be used to experiment with new materials and methods. But can a pop-up building ever be a great building?  Explore the relationships between temporary and permanent structures before working together to build a paper pop-up structure in the RIBA’s headquarters.

All workshops are inspired by the RIBA Stirling Prize, the world’s most significant award for architecture, and are led by professional educators. Materials included in the cost of the workshop unless otherwise indicated.

Skill Up workshops for 15-18 year olds are taking place from Monday 18 to Friday 22 August 2014.
